How do we cope with it?The answer  is: embracing  an interrogative attitude that implies a reconsideration of our perception,  of our manner to think and act in this more and more  diversified, dinamic and complex world, in an intercultural way. In other words, such a world asks for multicultural\/intercultural education. ( As a matter of fact, the beauty of the world lies in its diversity.)<br \/>\n     Education has a great responsability, which is a huge challenge, after all, because the contemporary world can t be understood  just watching  it contemplatively, in a static manner, sequentially.  It needs acting, involvement. If we want to build an authentic world, the only solution is a shift in emphasis, from a mono logic (culture) to a inter (culture) one, to accept otherness and interdependence, to create the foundation of a sympathetic behaviour to the other ones. A inter logic means interaction, change, open mindedness, reciprocity, solidarity, cooperation. <br \/>\nThrough this type of education, bridges are being built between people of different cultures. And these bridges consist in common values. Someone\u2019 s evolution and  good life depend on his values. They allow the person to tell the good from the bad. A set of  basic values (communication respect, cooperation, tolerance, enthusiasm, a healthy life style, family, work, respect for the elders...) is the bet for an harmonious life together, no matter the nationality, ethnic group, religion, gender, age...  These values help us to decide what to do and how  to act; for instance, communication, tolerance (but not ignorance) move away many barriers in family or social life; you become a better human being, you accept other new things and people easier; you feel a connection with the others, consequently you become part of society in the true sense of the word. <br \/>\nIn fact, to show an intercultural outlook is a modern value for  a cosmopolite society.  The other one  must become a subject for exploration and for being aware of his real identity because, trying to discover  this one we discover ourselves.  Discovering new people we deepen our own recognition. Thus, we  learn to relate consciously to  what it is different in our life, to watch  it through new eyes, to  integrate  holisticaly   the new values, to become  more permissive  towards  otherness, to develop intercultural competences.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
